veggiesavvy.com has collaborated with talented chef Eliza Katsouridou and EvZin Bio, a company dedicated to bringing premium quality Matcha Green Tea to the masses.

Matcha is finely ground powder of specially grown and processed green tea,developed in Japan. It is special in two aspects. The green tea plants for matcha are shade-grown for about three weeks before harvest, and the stems and veins are removed in processing.

Instead of actually making something myself, this time I turned to Evzin Bio and their team of chefs to provide us with this fantastic vegan recipe! Not only will you get the ingredients and instructions for this, but you will also get an awesome video at the bottom so you can do it like the pros! ♥

Without further ado, I present to you Exotic Vegan Matcha Fruit Tarts!

Ingredients (3 servings):

Matcha Pate Sucree (Base):

  • 250g flour
  • 125g vegan olive margarine
  • 80g sugar
  • 31g soy milk
  • 1 1/5 tablespoon matcha powder

Coconut Vanilla Pudding:

  • 250 ml coconut milk
  • ¼ stick fresh vanilla
  • 10g Stevia
  • 30ml water + 1 spoon egg replacer
  • 30g corn flower
  • 20g coconut cream (optional)




  • Nectarines
  • Kiwi
  • Orange zest
  • Blueberries
  • Plums
  • Coconut flakes
  • Matcha



  • Mix the margarine with the sugar and blend in a mixer
  • Add to the mix the soy, bend for a few seconds and then add the flour and the Matcha
  • Let the pastry rest for 20 minutes and then refrigerate
  • Knead the pastry in a thin layer and prick the surface with a fork
  • Place the dough in a pastry baking ring and put some rice or beans in a baking paper to hold the dough down
  • Bake for 10 minutes at 160 Celsius Remove the beans and bake for another 10 minutes
  • Heat the coconut milk with the Stevia and the vanilla in a pot
  • In a another bowl place the egg replace and the corn flour and slowly pour almost half the coconut milk mixture in the bowl while whisking. Pour back the new mixture with the other half of coconut milk and cook until boil
  • Let the cream cool down for 20-30 minutes and then refrigerate for 2-3 hours
  • Mix the coconut cream with the rest of the cream
  • Using a pastry bag, place the cream in the Matcha Pate Sucree (Base)
  • Chop the fruits and decorate the tarts
